Zis-N-Zat From Pastor Asher

God is my conscience, Jesus lives in my heart… this blog is about what I see, what I think, what I do and how I serve God

6 Days until Peninsula – Delaware Annual Conference

Praying without Ceasing – A Call for Seven Days of Prayer

We invite you to be in prayer for the people of God, as the children of the Creator come together glorify the Holy One. A gathering of God’s people is June 5-7, 2014. The Peninsula – Delaware Annual Conference convenes at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Princess Anne, Maryland.  Let us come together in preparation for our gathering, as we pray together for one another. Seven days of praying without ceasing, as we call on the Lord to: Heal God’s World: Physically and Spiritually.

Praying without Ceasing – A Call for Seven Days of Prayer

Rev. Dr. Shirlyn Henry Brown – DCM

“…My people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I’ll be there ready for you: I’ll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health.” II Chronicles 7:14

My great-grandfather would say, “Sis you prance when no one else hears the music.” It is true that there are days when I am dancing in the dark. My dance is an “upper room” conversation with God, for the people of God. A prayer dance of praise, repentance, redemption, and restoration is rejoicing.  Dear Great grandfather, I am getting ready for Annual Conference, through the dance. Thank you for believing that I hear the music.

fingers turn the stirring wheel

wrist bends a church fan

feet glide on a hardwood floor

prayer knees bend at the Open Door

heart beats like never before

Truth speaks, repentance leaps

Tears flow streams of joy

Shoulders lift more — more

Grace moves a prayer dance

Dancing — in the dark

In the dark — dance
