Here is an excerpt from the e-mail:
Friends of Stop Hunger Now,
We delighted to announce that the meals from your respective meal packaging events have been shipped in a container totaling 285,120 meals and 15 Lighting for Literacy Solar Light Systems from our Philadelphia warehouse to Zambia. If this is your second notification email it simply means that a portion of your meals have gone to impact multiple programs.
This shipment will serve our in-country recipients through Reach Now and Mission Touch Ministries.
Stop Hunger Now meals serve needy children in Zambia through Reach Now and Mission Touch Ministries. Missions Touch Ministries (MTM) was formed in 2008 as a non-governmental organization (NGO) and brings in containers of food, medical supplies and other goods to benefit 35+ community schools, orphanages and other feeding programs. Missions Touch and Reach Now support approximately 10,000 children with a hot meal each school day in and around Lusaka, Zambia. Many of the children served are drawn into the schools from the streets because of the provision of food. The enrollment at the schools often doubles when the feeding program is introduced, brightening the future of countless impoverished children. The addition of Stop Hunger Now meals enables Missions Touch and Reach Now to provide for the nutritional needs of the children enrolled in their program.
Thank you for generously donating your time as a volunteer with Stop Hunger Now. We are sincerely grateful for your dedication and for sharing our vision of a world without hunger.
